Municipal police officers from Nice are parading on the Champs-Elysées.

Five years to the day after the Nice attacks, the municipal police of Nice marched on the main avenue.

The contingent was composed of members of special forces who intervened on the night of the truck attack that killed 86 people, as well as during the terrorist attack on the Nice basilica on October 29, 2020, where three people lost their lives.

The Mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, reacted following this parade: “Thank you to President Emmanuel Macron for inviting the municipal police of Nice to participate in this parade. A strong symbol for all municipal police officers in France. The third public security force of our country honored for the first time on July 14.”

The municipal police officers of Nice marched at the end of the event, just before the prestigious sappers of the Foreign Legion, recognizable by their beards and axes.
