Municipales 2020: Candidate Estrosi focuses on the economy and wants a “business-friendly” city.

Latest News

The electoral campaign is heating up, and Christian Estrosi is sparing no time or energy to spread his program on sectoral themes.

Yesterday, during a visit to a next-generation company, he took the opportunity to reveal the name of an upcoming city councilor who will join him in the new term, responsible for economic matters.

And this time it’s big: none other than Jacques Richier, the CEO of Allianz, already at his side as president of the Economic and Social Council, a consultative body.

A significant asset that will undoubtedly be useful to him—through networking and relationships to boost the establishment of new businesses in the Eco-valley’s real estate spaces.

Moreover, Christian Estrosi does not lack ambition: “We will make Nice a ‘business-friendly’ city, a European reference attracting companies and investors, by creating a neighborhood dedicated to startups, strengthening the CEEINCA, specializing it by sector, and developing welcoming solutions.”

The candidate took advantage of the occasion to outline a series of initiatives in favor of the business world, beneficial for the region’s economic development, to be implemented in the coming years. Here is a summary:

– The creation of an Institute of Innovation and Partnership and an Excellence Campus dedicated to Tourism next to the new Congress and Exhibition Center, which will become the heart of business tourism and conventions of the Côte d’Azur.

– The promotion of the social and solidarity economy and circular economy, proposing eco-responsible actions and the creation of a dedicated Cluster to bring together a group of companies to create synergies and design specialized training.

– The creation of an entrepreneurship house to pool business support skills and project leaders, allowing for greater efficiency and visibility in connection with the launch of a sectoral recruitment platform.

– The creation of a public/private investment fund focused on innovation, health, and employment to involve the private sector in areas that serve the territories and support young companies through leveraging effects.

There are also plans for craftsmanship:

– Labels such as “Made in Nice06” or “In Nice for over 100 years”
– An annual festive event by neighborhood involving shopkeepers and artisans
– Pop-up stores promoting craftsmanship
