Municipales2020: Greenpeace asks candidates for commitments on air pollution

Latest News

A week before the first round of municipal elections, the activists from local groups of Greenpeace France are mobilizing this Saturday in 14 cities across France to inform the public about automobile pollution and the positions of the candidates.

These positions include the implementation of an ambitious low-emission zone and setting a deadline to remove diesel vehicles from cities by 2025 and gasoline vehicles by 2030, reducing road traffic and the space allocated to cars, abandoning road and highway projects, and finally developing alternatives to cars (notably public transportation, walking, and cycling) along with the implementation of social support.

In Nice, the meeting is set at Place Massรฉna from 2 PM to 6 PM.
