Due to being unable to conclude his electoral campaign with the large public meeting scheduled for this afternoon in a palace on the Promenade—which would have drawn more than 2,000 people—for health and safety reasons, the outgoing mayor and candidate for re-election, Christian Estrosi, held a press conference to outline his program for the 2020-2026 term.
He addressed the people of Nice live on Facebook in succession.
Polls show him being re-elected by a wide margin in all scenarios. The only uncertainty is whether a second round will be necessary or if the election will conclude by Sunday evening.
