“Culture is the image of our department.” Eric Ciotti, President of the Department, presents in a few words the upcoming music festival “It’s not classical”.
From November 4 to 6, 2016, more than 50 concerts will be free and will take place at Acropolis in the city of Nice. “A festival that will be sponsored by Francis Lai,” informs Eric Ciotti. He continues to mention some “prestigious” names like Patrick Poivre d’Arvor, Jean-Philippe Collard, or Ara Malikian who will participate in the event. Additionally, during this festival, a tribute will be paid to David Bowie. Three busy days that promise to be rich and colorful.
The President of the Department sees this as an opportunity to show “the world that the city of Nice remains determined, lively, and reactive” following the events of July 14. Finally, Eric Ciotti makes it known that the Department of Alpes-Maritimes “has committed” to this cultural season with the sum of “21,000,000 euros”. A fund “that should highlight culture, as a vector of our image internationally”.
