In the context of the departmental plan to support students from the Alpes-Maritimes affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, Charles Ange Ginésy announces the opening of MA LIGNE 06, the dedicated telephone platform for students in the Alpes-Maritimes.

As a community committed to solidarity across all generations and a leader in social policies, the Department of the Alpes-Maritimes continues its proactive commitment by supporting and assisting students from the region affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This is achieved through the adoption of a departmental support plan developed in collaboration with several stakeholders, including the University Côte d’Azur, the University Psychological Support Office (BAPU), the Regional Center for University and School Works (CROUS), and the association FACE 06.

MA LIGNE 06, an information and orientation telephone platform, is available to support all students in the Alpes-Maritimes: 04 22 13 27 42, accessible Monday to Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

At the other end of the line, a trained operator listens and identifies the student’s needs, directing them to:

– Psychological support
– Medical assistance (medical appointments, etc.)
– Social aid (housing, food aid, administrative and legal aid, etc.)
– Student life (sports, culture, studies, leisure, etc.)

For Charles Ange Ginésy, President of the Department of the Alpes-Maritimes, “For several months now, the health crisis due to the COVID-19 epidemic has disrupted students’ lives by increasing the challenges they face. Some of them are in significant social and psychological precarity, and the isolation they suffer from is a major issue requiring real coordination efforts from all stakeholders in this field.”

“Sensitive to their distress, I have proposed a departmental support plan for students in the Alpes-Maritimes,” he adds. “This plan, unanimously adopted by the Department’s elected officials on February 12th, includes four major actions: a 150,000-euro aid over three years to BAPU to enhance psychological support, the development of a student life plan to support their life course, the provision of social and material aid through a grant awarded to FACE 06, and finally the creation of a unique information and orientation telephone platform for students, MA LIGNE 06, now active.”

“No generation should be sacrificed by COVID-19. The Department of the Alpes-Maritimes is and will be by the side of the students in the Alpes-Maritimes to get through this difficult period.”
