My Senior wants to recreate social connections in the Alpes-Maritimes.

Latest News

Since October 2025, the Mon Senior community has settled in the Provence-Alpes-Cรดte dโ€™Azur region. Nice and several towns in the Alpes-Maritimes will host the first workshops and events. The goal is clear: to recreate social connections, offer various activities, and give a new place to those over 50 in local life.

Mon Senior is not just an online platform. It is a club that aims to bridge generations and offer those over 50 opportunities to come together around cultural, sporting, and friendly activities. The initiative started in October 2025 in the Provence-Alpes-Cรดte dโ€™Azur region, with a national rollout planned for 2026.

In the Alpes-Maritimes, several towns are scheduled for the first meetings. Nice will host a sommelier workshop on October 31. Saint-Laurent-du-Var will open its doors on October 29. Frรฉjus, on October 15, and Saint-Raphaรซl, on October 24, will also offer meetings around tastings. These dates mark the beginning of a series of events that will later extend to other communities.

These workshops are just one example of the planned activities. The program also includes karaoke nights, dance balls, sports tournaments, and musical shows. The idea is to offer multiple formats to cater to diverse desires and allow everyone to find their place.

“Mon Senior is a link against social isolation. It challenges age-related stereotypes, supports solidarity and sharing, and is a kind and innovative voice for seniors, as a rich social life means a healthier, more joyful, and more fulfilling life!” explain the creators of the platform.

A community aiming to change perceptions of age

Behind these gatherings lies a broader ambition. Mon Senior wants to show that those over 50 are not defined by their age but by their energy and desire to participate in collective life. The local clubs, events, and services aim to highlight each person’s knowledge, stories, and talents.

The focus is on friendliness and proximity. The activities organized in the Alpes-Maritimes aim to strengthen bonds between residents, create shared memories, and give seniors an active role in cultural and social life.

The online platform complements this approach. It offers a calendar of events, a discussion forum, practical advice, and even a meeting space. The goal is to extend interactions beyond physical meetings and maintain a permanent connection between members.

The organizers remind us that isolation still affects many elderly people. By offering accessible and regular activities, Mon Senior aims to provide concrete solutions. The sommelier workshops, for example, are not only moments of discovery. They also become opportunities for meeting, dialogue, and sharing.

A local dynamic within a national project

The choice to launch the first activities in Provence-Alpes-Cรดte dโ€™Azur is no coincidence. The region has a significant population over 50 who are active and eager to stay connected. Nice and its neighboring communities are seen as strategic locations to initiate this movement.

Starting in 2026, Mon Senior plans to extend its initiative to the entire national territory. However, the Alpes-Maritimes will have been among the first departments to experience this new way of living together.

Membership fees, starting at โ‚ฌ6.99 per month, provide access to exclusive benefits and a full program of activities. However, it is possible to participate occasionally without being a member. This flexibility opens the club to a broad audience and encourages diverse encounters.

By launching its first actions in Nice, Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Frรฉjus, and Saint-Raphaรซl, Mon Senior aims to lay the foundations of a vibrant and engaged community. The coming months will reveal how this initiative will be received by the residents. But one thing is certain: age is becoming a collective strength here, and the seniors of the Alpes-Maritimes are about to write a new chapter in their social life.
