Mylène TREZIERES, 22 years old, has had a flawless journey. From her vocational high school diploma in cuisine, to a BTS at the hotel school in Marseille, where she chose the hotel-restaurant-cuisine option, eventually completing a professional degree in culinary arts and tableware at Angers.

The competition

She challenges herself to pass the sixth stage of the “Young Talents Master Restaurateurs” competition. A stage that takes place in the kitchens of the Paul Augier Hotel and Tourism High School (06).

A competition to assess her level. She admits to having trained a lot for it, describing weeks of hard work.

When she discovers the topic of the test, she panics a bit. Mylène TREZIERES had never eaten or worked with crayfish before. Nevertheless, she faces other high-level candidates. A successful performance as she clinches first place.

A pride for her and her parents. As her chef says, “hard work always pays off.” A chef she considers a role model. With a smile and stars in her eyes, she recounts his journey across Europe and France. She wishes to follow his example. Mylène Trezieres describes her chef as a person of great value, passionate, and loves to pass on his knowledge.

Changes tied to the preparation for the competition

Mylène Trezieres now evolves within the restaurant Le 44. She is still very young. In a year, she notices the changes. The young woman now tries to match master restaurateurs working in renowned culinary establishments. Yet, when she arrived, she didn’t know how to do anything.

What path will she follow after the final?

The first step, the final in Paris on March 26. The goal is to surpass herself and hopefully win the victory. For Mylène Trezieres, “everything goes through work using the love and passion for cooking.” She lets destiny guide her. As for after the competition, she will return to the restaurant Le 44 in Antibes, where she will continue working alongside the chef.

In winter, they are only two to run the kitchen. She declares with a smile, “we are indispensable to each other.”

Dreams of Mylène Trezieres

In a few years, she dreams of working in a fine gastronomic establishment. Today, the restaurant Le 44 does not have any stars. She hopes for one someday. But before leaving, she wishes to continue her apprenticeship with Jérome Clavel.

She has a taste for excellence. She wants to become a chef herself, before opening her own restaurant and having her own kitchen.

At only 22 years old, Mylène Trezieres has the future ahead of her. We wish her good luck…
