24th edition of the Lyric Art Festival, directed by Eve Ruggieri “Musiques au Coeur,” taking place in the exceptional setting of Villa Eilenroc. From July 2 to 11, 2012, in Antibes.
Lyric art is once again in the spotlight in the sumptuous setting of the gardens of Villa Eilenroc with a trilogy that combines the word Music in the plural thanks to the program offered by Eve Ruggieri, the artistic director of the festival.
Moreover, the festival concludes with an exceptional evening featuring a “star duo.” The singer Nathalie Dessay returns to Antibes and to Musiques au Coeur, 18 years after her last appearance. She will be accompanied by pianist Michel Legrand.
The two artists will celebrate cinema in a concert already anticipated as an event.
The program:
- Monday, July 2 at 9 PM, “The Greatest Opera Choruses and Duets” with Yulia Lysenko (soprano), Ion Timofti (tenor), the national orchestra and choirs of Moldova conducted by Grigori Penteleïtchouck.
Saturday, July 7 and Monday, July 9 at 8:30 PM, “The Marriage of Figaro” by Mozart directed by Petrika Ionesco. With the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra and the Choir of the Nice Opera, conducted by Benjamin Pionnier.
Wednesday, July 11 at 9 PM, “Opera Sings Cinema” with Nathalie Dessay and Michel Legrand.
