A meeting was held at the Ministry of Ecology, chaired by Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, Minister, in the presence of Christian Estrosi, Deputy Mayor of Nice, and Eric Ciotti, Deputy and President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes.
This meeting provided an overview of the key issues in the department and the Nice Côte d’Azur urban community, in terms of Transport and Sustainable Development.
This exchange was notably an opportunity to review the progress of the Eco-Vallée National Interest Operation and to discuss the preparation of the Alpes-Maritimes department’s application to the flood action and prevention program 2 for the Var river.
Regarding the issues relating to the motorway concession, it was agreed that a meeting would be organized at the Ministry in the coming weeks to discuss ongoing challenges.
The objective of this meeting will be to strive for a better balance in the relationships between users, local authorities, and the concessionaire.
Concerning the Ecocité project, for which Nice Côte d’Azur has applied in partnership with the General Council, the Plaine du Var Public Administrative Establishment, and several dozen partner companies, it was agreed that Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet would soon come to Nice to announce the projects and amounts selected under the “City of Tomorrow” call for projects.
Christian Estrosi and Eric Ciotti thus reaffirmed to the Minister their shared commitment to making Nice and the Alpes-Maritimes a reference territory in terms of ecology, sustainable development, and transport.
