In the context of the national mental health information week, this Friday, March 16, 2012, Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes, will present the “06 mental health” plan.
The General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes has decided to implement a departmental mental health plan, as mental and even psychiatric disorders represent a major challenge for public health and in the daily lives of many families.
In association with families, users, health and medico-social institutions, the Departmental House for Disabled People, and health professionals, this plan pursues six objectives, the main ones being to support the patients, but also their families, and to coordinate the actions of different medical and social actors.
This presentation is part of the debate day organized by the National Union of Friends and Families of Mentally Ill People (UNAFAM), which brings together more than 15,000 families. During this day, mental health professionals will speak, including Boris Cyrulnik, a neuropsychiatrist, researcher, and author of a recent report, commissioned by the Government, on child suicide.
