National prevention campaign “So that the Mountain remains a pleasure”

Latest News

Every year, more than 40,000 rescue service interventions are recorded in ski areas.

To prevent accidents in the mountains during winter, the operation named “To Keep the Mountains Fun” was launched on Friday, February 10, at Valberg. It was initiated by the Ministry of Urban Affairs, Youth and Sports, in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior, Météo France, ski resorts, and the French Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing, and attended by Mr. Patrick KANNER, Minister of Urban Affairs, Youth and Sports.

The public will once again be able to learn and get initiated into good practices with mountain specialists at the three organized “Prevention Spaces”:

• Wednesday the 15th at Auron from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm (at the arrival site of TS BLAINON)

• Thursday the 16th at Isola 2000 from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm (at the arrival site of TC MERCANTOUR)

• Saturday, February 25, 2017, at the Boréon site in St-Martin-Vésubie, on the occasion of the event “L’Echappée Blanche” organized by the Comité Alpes-Maritimes of the FFME.

Throughout these days, there will be animations and public awareness, communication, and prevention actions.

To ensure your stay in the mountains remains enjoyable, adopt the rules of good conduct!
