National tribute: a French mourning but not really from Nice

Two weeks after the attacks in Paris and Saint-Denis, the Republic paid a sober and moving tribute this Friday to the “martyrs of November 13.”

François Hollande had called on all French citizens to display the blue-white-red flag to honor the victims of the attacks.

For once, Christian Estrosi had not opposed this wish, despite being a known “rebel” against anything that comes, directly or indirectly, from the socialist government.

On the contrary, all municipal monuments displayed the national flag.

However, the residents of Nice hung few flags on the facades of their buildings or balconies.

Yet, this action was purely symbolic, apolitical, neither left nor right…

There are moments when you just don’t know what to think!
