Comedy:
Disenchantment – Season 4 (February 9)
At the helm of this American animated series are the creators of The Simpsons. It follows the adventures of Bean, a rebellious princess, accompanied by an elf named Elfo and a demon named Luci as they travel across the ruined kingdom of Dreamland. The trio encounters creatures straight out of legends and tales.
Murderville (comedy crime) (February 3)
Based on an adaptation of an English sitcom: Murder in Successville, this partially improvised comedy crime series features Terry Seattle, a detective who must solve different murders with his partner. The unique aspect of this show is that the actor or actress playing his partner changes with each episode. These partners, unaware of what’s in store for them, must rely on their improvisational skills.
BigBug (by Jean-Pierre Jeunet) (French comedy) (February 11)
A jump into the future for this comedy set in 2045. Artificial intelligence and robots have invaded daily life, becoming servants to their owners’ every need. Until the day four machines decide to take their master hostage. Forced to coexist, the situation becomes increasingly tense as humanoids outside try to seize power.
Tall Girl 2 (romantic comedy) (February 11)
Released in 2019, the first film features Jodi, a 6’1″ teenager who decides to fully embrace herself when a new student arrives at the high school. In this sequel, the teenager, after realizing her dream, sees her daily life start to crumble.
Documentary:
The Tinder Swindler (February 2)
This documentary, inspired by real crimes, focuses on Cecilie, a young woman who falls under the charm of a man presenting himself as wealthy and seductive on his profile. By the time she discovers he is not who he claims to be, it’s too late, and she has lost everything. She then seeks to identify other victims of the con artist in order to get revenge.
jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy (documentary series) (February 16)
Over 20 years. That’s the span of this documentary dedicated to the life of American rapper Kanye West. It will cover his career in the music industry, his ventures in fashion, his attempt to become president, and the death of his mother.
Horror:
The Privilege (February 9)
As they try to uncover a conspiracy, a wealthy teenager and his friends witness a series of supernatural events.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (February 18)
In this sequel to the famous series, Melody, accompanied by her sister and two friends, settles in a small town in Texas to launch a new business. Unfortunately for them, these influencers accidentally stumble into the world of serial killer Leatherface, turning their dream into a nightmare.
Action:
Fistful of Vengeance (action – martial arts) (February 17)
This martial arts and fantasy film is based on the series “Wu Assassins” (2019). While it’s not necessary to be familiar with the series to watch Fistful of Vengeance, it features the same hero with powers on a quest across continents to track down a killer.
Vikings: Valhalla – Season 1 (action) (February 25)
This spin-off of “Vikings” (2013-2020) takes place 100 years after the end of the series. It follows the story of the descendants of the series’ characters as they arrive in Europe. Longships, blood, and battles remain in the DNA of this new batch of episodes.
Drama:
Inventing Anna (February 11)
This miniseries focuses on an American journalist tasked with investigating Anna Delvey, a German heiress who is, in reality, a talented con artist. A young woman who won over New York’s high society only to later strip them of their wealth.
Thriller:
Toy Boy – Season 2 (February 11)
This second season continues following the character of Hugo Beltrán. In the first season, the stripper was released after seven years of incarceration, having been found guilty of murdering his mistress’s husband, determined to prove his innocence.
Fantasy:
Raising Dion – Season 2 (February 1)
Dion is a child with superpowers. At the end of the first season, the young boy faced the threat looming over all those with strange abilities like him. The sequel takes place two years later, with Dion continuing to learn how to master his gift. He befriends another child with powers as a new danger emerges.
Children’s Program:
How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (animated film) (February 12)
This film is the final chapter in the trilogy following the adventures of the Viking Harold and his dragon Toothless. As peace between the two species continues, a new threat arises, forcing the villagers to leave their home in search of an undiscovered world.
