New certification for general secretaries of city halls

A new university certification has been established to meet the specifics of the role of general secretary of the town hall.

This Thursday, April 11th, at the CADAM, the new plan for the university certification of town hall secretaries was unveiled. This profession is absolutely vital for all town halls, and the fact that one-third of the secretaries will retire by 2030 makes it a highly sought-after profession. It is currently endangered, and enhancing its value with this certification is a springboard to revive it.

The goals of this training are to better recognize the function, to support the town halls, and to inspire new vocations for the profession.

A unique initiative initiated by the Alpes-Maritimes department

This initiative is led by Senator and Departmental Counselor Alexandra Borchio-Fontimp, with the support of Universitรฉ Cรดte d’Azur, the Association of Mayors of Alpes-Maritimes, the Association of Rural Mayors of Alpes-Maritimes, Agence 06, SICTIAM, and the management center of Alpes-Maritimes. It is the Department of Alpes-Maritimes that has decided to fully finance this unique training.

How will the training take place?

This training, designed for town hall personnel, job seekers, and anyone wishing to train for this profession, will last 6 months. The cost is โ‚ฌ3170 and is CPF eligible. It will consist of 130 hours of online and in-person sessions, including: 46 hours from the module “The Role of Supporting Political Strategy by the General Secretary of the Town Hall“, 44 hours of “Finance and Human Resources”, and 40 hours of “Legal”.

Registrations start now and courses will begin in mid-October.
