The Director General of Health, Jérôme Salomon, announced that in France, the coronavirus has resulted in 12,210 deaths since March 1st, including 8,044 in hospitals (+424) and 4,166 in social or medico-social establishments.
Despite an exceptional situation, the DGS reported for the first time a decrease in the number of patients in intensive care (-82), with a total of 7,066 patients in a severe condition, 369 of whom were new cases in the last 24 hours.
Furthermore, 30,767 individuals are still hospitalized due to a Covid-19 infection, with 3,000 additional cases in the last 24 hours. The net increase in care compared to the previous day is 392 people, a figure that is rising. “We can hope for a very high plateau, but we must remain extremely cautious,” analyzed Jérôme Salomon.
Additionally, 23,200 people have been discharged from the hospital recovered, which is more than 2,000 additional recoveries in the last 24 hours.
