Two thousand people had already attended this festival last year. A success that is expected to be repeated this year. The lineup includes pop-rock, folk, and ragga bands, all performing in the Niçois or Occitan languages: Lu Rauba Capeu, Lo Mago d’En Casteu, Lo Truc, Lhi Jarris, and Nux Vomica.
Numerous traditional activities will be offered throughout the evening.
Demonstrations of Moura, a finger game, and Pilou, a juggling game, will be available for the audience.
The Niçois culture will then be showcased through cuisine. A buffet of specialties will be set up so that you can taste the regional flavors. The traditional socca, pan bagnat, zucchini flower fritters, Provençal stew, panisses, pissaladière, and many other typical dishes will tantalize your taste buds.
Organized by the apolitical associations Nissart Per Tougiou and Sian d’Aqui in collaboration with the town hall of Levens, Festin d’Aqui was established to promote and perpetuate the heritage and cultural riches of Nice.
The godfather of the event, Ben (a globally known artist), invites you to share an evening entirely devoted to Niçoise and Occitan culture, of which he is a fervent defender: “Every year more and more people attend. Come one, come all, it’s going to be incredible, fantastic.”
