New President at Rugby Nice Côte d’Azur: Paul White replaces the resigning John Hall.

Latest News

John Hall, the former president of Gloucester and former head of Gulliver Travel, having left the position vacant for some time due to professional reasons, Rugby Nice Côte d’Azur was required to elect a new President. It is therefore the main shareholder Paul White, an English businessman and resident of the Principality of Monaco, who has officially taken the top position at the club. His compatriot and fellow Monaco resident, Mark Thomas, will assist him as Deputy President.

However, to everyone’s surprise, the general manager Anthony Hill, after two years of activity within the club, submitted his resignation and left the club without any delay. The reasons for all this remain unknown to this day, although rumors suggest certain cash flow difficulties and therefore, relational problems between Anthony Hill and the players.

On the other hand, the election of the club’s investor, Paul White, to the presidency can be interpreted as a strong sign of his commitment to the future. It remains to be seen the truth of this matter and also what governance the club will want to adopt for the next season or seasons.

For now, the club’s eminence grise, Julien Schramm, has taken over the direction on an interim basis while awaiting the appointment of a new general manager who will surely have a “so British” profile!
