A blood drive will be organized starting Wednesday at Place Masséna.
For four days, from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM non-stop (and from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday), all the residents of Nice and everyone present in the azure capital are invited to make a gesture capable of saving lives.
A 44-meter tram decorated in the event’s colors has been crossing the city from east to north since last week, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of personal commitment.
Active partners in the citizen program of the red and black club, OGC Nice and the French Blood Establishment are once again collaborating to ensure that the Alpes-Maritimes, one of the few regions forced to “import” blood from other departments, can collect as many donations as possible to benefit its patients.
After a similar operation in October and another organized at Charles-Ehrmann in January, a new “red and black” blood donation event will take place at Place Masséna, right in the middle of the school holidays. This is a time when such events are more challenging to organize but when the need for transfusions for patients does not diminish.
Additionally, goodies will be given by the Gym to everyone who takes the time to participate in the event. Two signed jerseys and 30 tickets for the last game of the season at Allianz – Nice–Angers, on May 14th – will also be up for grabs.
Paul Baysse, Ricardo Pereira, and Lionel Letizi will be present on site this Wednesday, to mark the beginning of the drive.
