New Year’s Ceremony at the Nice Conservatory (CNRR)

Latest News

Christian Estrosi, Member of Parliament and Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, will present his New Year wishes to the 130 teachers of the Nice Conservatory, this Thursday, January 9 at 11 am.

The Pierre Cochereau National Conservatory of Regional Influence (CNRR) in Nice is a municipal institution approved by the Ministry of Culture, ranking second among conservatories in France (after the national higher conservatories in Paris and Lyon).

Its mission is to teach music, dance, and dramatic arts from beginner level to the highest professional level. The CNRR of Nice has always enjoyed great prestige in France and abroad.

Besides its teaching mission, the CNRR is the venue for high-quality musical, dramatic arts, and dance events, most of which are open to the public for free. The CNRR thus contributes to promoting music, dance, as well as theater and participates in the cultural outreach of the City.

Highlights of the new season

For the first semester of 2014, the Conservatory offers several exceptional performances such as the tribute dedicated to Henri Dutilleux, considered one of the most famous symphonic composers of the 20th century, honorary citizen of the City of Nice, who passed away last spring, on Wednesday, January 22, or the upcoming performances of the famous Los Angeles Guitar Quartet on March 17 and 18, the only performances in France!
