On the occasion of the inauguration of the redevelopment works of Boulevard Gambetta, the city of Nice invites its citizens for a celebration this Wednesday, October 11, in the Alsace-Lorraine garden.
Christian Estrosi invites the people of Nice to 4 PM in the Alsace-Lorraine garden, at the heart of the newly renovated city district. The revitalization works on Boulevard Gambetta started in April 2022. The objectives of the city of Nice were to “enhance the neighborhood, strengthen the position of soft modes of transportation, and boost the attractiveness of local businesses.”
To achieve this, numerous improvements have been made. Sidewalks have been widened, greening projects have been undertaken, and a “safe cycle path” directly connected to the Promenade des Anglais and Avenue Thiers has been created. Franklin Square, which the city council wanted to “transform into a real living space,” is now pedestrianized.
To celebrate the completion of the works, the city of Nice is organizing a festive event. The agenda includes: musical entertainment, creative workshops, and a Niçoise buffet.
