From June 16 to 18, over the course of a weekend, all the stakeholders of 109 invite you to embark on a cultural journey through this festival. This free festival for all audiences aims to celebrate all forms of art. For this seventh edition, named “The Takeoff,” you will need to elevate yourself and engage all your senses.
The previous edition, The Power of Flowers, brought together nearly 5,000 people for a festive weekend! A success that aims to be matched for this new edition. This year’s program is particularly eclectic. Indeed, more than a hundred artists will be present during these three days. All senses will need to be engaged to appreciate the diversity of artistic forms: exhibitions, listening festivals, trampolining, visual workshops, dance performances, concerts, screenings, and shows for young audiences. Friday, June 16: The Takeoff
The first takeoff will revolve around the opening of the exhibition Witch you were here, which combines an exhibition and a listening festival. Witches and cyborgs will be considered key figures of female emancipation. To soar into the air, the Aulofée Company will present its aerial dance show Affleurement. This first day will conclude with a video mapping at 10:15 PM on the Turin forecourt.
Saturday, June 17: Climbing to Ascendancy
At the peak of this festival, Saturday will particularly celebrate dance! Between dance workshops and performances, the expression of bodies will illuminate the 109. Artists Doria and Fulu Muziki will contribute with their sounds to enliven the Turin forecourt. Finally, a film screening by Bande Passante at 10:30 PM will serve as the finale for this dynamic day.
Sunday, June 18: Towards a Controlled Landing
The final flutter of wings for this “Takeoff” festival will revolve around an exhibition of digital artworks presented by artist Ossey in collaboration with the pop-rock group Blonde. Throughout the afternoon, The Station will organize a listening festival with experimental musical practices. Finally, to close this seventh edition, the group Blonde will offer a concert at 7 PM.
