As part of the 18th day of the Butagaz Energie league, OGCN handball hosted Plan-de-Cuques.
The Charles-Ehrmann sports hall welcomed the Nice team almost a month after their last home game. Facing Plan-de-Cuques, the match promised to be quite tight. Even though the team from Bouches-du-Rhône has a seven-point lead over the Azuréennes in the standings, Nice had already won earlier in the year in the French Cup against this same team.
The start of the match is balanced. The two teams exchange blow for blow. After 20 minutes of play, Marija Colic stood out. The Aiglonnes’ goalkeeper made three decisive saves. She allowed her team to widen the gap and lead (16-10) at halftime.
In the second half, the OGCN players were content to manage their lead. Among notable performances, we should highlight the eight goals by Adriana Holejova or the six goals each by Ehsan Abdelmalek and Raissa Dapina. Additionally, Marija Colic’s thirteen saves were once again decisive in the championship.
