The city of Nice will offer several events in the coming days in honor of International Women’s Rights Day. These initiatives, organized until March 10, 2025, aim to raise public awareness and promote gender equality between women and men.
Among the highlights, a discussion with inspiring figures will take place this Friday at 6 PM at the town hall. Christian Estrosi, the mayor of Nice, is expected to participate in this meeting alongside university researcher Pinar Selek. The objective is to shed light on the journeys of committed women and men while discussing the persistent barriers to equality.
Starting today, Thursday, March 6, the Pathé Gare du Sud Cinema will host a civic session with the screening of the film Barbie. It will be followed by a round table discussion on gender stereotypes. Participants from the associative world, sociology, and sports will discuss the evolution of these representations in society.
Finally, on Monday, March 10, the second edition of the “Women of Resilience Trophy” will take place. It will honor six women entrepreneurs who have overcome obstacles to turn their projects into successes. The ceremony will be held at the Mediterranean University Center.
