ID cards and passports: the city of Nice facilitates your procedures until December 31.

Latest News

Last June, the municipality implemented measures to reduce the waiting times for identity documents. The initiative has been extended until December 30.

At the beginning of June, the city of Nice tackled speeding up and making the processing and obtaining of passports and national identity cards more efficient. All cities in France were then experiencing very long waiting times, especially for the issuance of these documents once an initial appointment had been made.

To meet growing demand and improve user service, 210 additional daily appointments were offered by the Nice town hall. In total, 320 appointments per day were available, representing an increase of 200%.

This exceptional measure was made possible thanks to the installation of fifteen counters dedicated to identity documents with biometric stations. Additionally, a no-appointment counter for quick administrative procedures was opened, and opening hours were extended.

The municipality speaks of a measure that experienced “great success”. A total of 21,654 scheduled appointments were made this summer across all annex town halls, including more than 7,400 at the Corvesy site.

It will still be possible to collect your identity document without an appointment

Buoyed by this success, it has decided to extend the initiative until the end of 2023. Thus, seven biometric stations are retained, out of the fifteen additional ones deployed last June.

The city also announces the continued cancellation of appointments for the collection of identity documents and quick civil status formalities at the town hall annex, within the Corvesy building. Already, nearly 5,000 people have been received without an appointment to collect their identity document since the measure’s implementation.

The unique number (04 97 13 54 54) set up to better guide citizens in their procedures is also maintained.
