Ligue Butagaz Énergie: OGC Nice Handball continues its streak in Saint-Amand

Latest News

The Nice handball players faced Saint-Amand as part of the 4th day of the Ligue Butagaz Energie. A one-sided match between two teams with different dynamics.

The OGCN handball team aimed for their second consecutive victory last night. After their win two weeks prior against Chambray, the Nice players traveled to northern France. Their objective was to build on the successful matches played since the start of the championship.

While for most of the first half both teams played on equal terms, the Nice players widened the gap just before the break. Thanks to their captain, Marine Dupuis, who scored five goals in the first 30 minutes (out of six scored), Nice took the lead. They found themselves +4 at halftime (12-16).

In the second half, the team from the north could never catch up. The reason was a stellar performance by Marie-Helène Sajka. The Nice player ended up as the top scorer of the match with nine goals, including six in the second half.

As a result, OGCN handball won (22-27) and gained a lot of confidence before facing the formidable team from Brest in two weeks. In the meantime, Sébastien Mizoule’s players remain on the championship podium.
