Nice and the group “Blonde” committed to women’s rights

Latest News

The musical group Blonde presents their latest music video denouncing violence and oppression against women. This is an engaged initiative with the City of Nice, supported by Christian Estrosi and Robert Roux, Deputy Mayor in charge of Culture.

Blonde is a pop group that writes, composes, and performs their own music. The group has already had several concerts in Nice, and after their latest album โ€œLuneโ€, here is their new music video. Taken from their new folk-rock album โ€œMolotovโ€, tinged with electro sounds, this video titled โ€œFemme, vie, libertรฉโ€ is available below:

A video that denounces the violence and oppression women face, particularly in countries like Iran. The City of Nice and Blonde have united to raise awareness about the defense of women’s rights around the world. Furthermore, the musical group highlights a project that “comes together in the name of a cause that touches us and that we absolutely wish to defend in 2023: the fight against violence against women in all its forms. The current situation in Iran is a good example of this. We can no longer turn a blind eye.”

Some of the footage in the video comes from a demonstration in support of Iranian women that took place in Nice, along the Promenade des Anglais. This project is supported by many figures in Nice’s cultural life. Les Studios de la Victorine, for instance, hosted the group of the artist Ben, who handled the visuals for the track. Finally, a collaboration with the Opรฉra de Nice is also underway with a cover project.
