OGC Nice handball was defeated (32-26) by Paris 92, marking their first home loss of the season.

OGC Nice handball faced Paris 92 in the third round of the Butagaz League. The team from Nice quickly found themselves in trouble. Their defensive positioning and offensive errors were costly at the beginning of the match. They ended up trailing by six points halfway through the first half. However, the words of coach Clément Alcacer quickly made a difference, and the Aiglonnes managed to come back before halftime. The score was 16 to 16. Led by their captain Ehsan Abdelmalek, the Aiglonnes clung to their goal of remaining undefeated in this competition.

A More Serious Second Half 

In the second half, OGC Nice handball fought back and showed a more convincing side. Their offensive intentions were improved, and the play constructions were well-organized. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough, and the Aiglonnes lost (32-26). Despite this first defeat, Clément Alcacer put things into perspective: “We played a good match, but something was still missing. Tonight, they were better in the decisive moments, and that made the difference.” A tough defeat contested by the many supporters who came. According to them, the referee did not help the Aiglonnes to assert themselves.

The next match is away against Metz as they seek to get back on track and aim for the higher part of the standings.
