OGC Nice vs. MHSC: A Pressure-Filled Start for Digard and His Staff

Latest News

A few days after the elimination in the Coupe de France that cost Lucien Favre his job, the Gym hosts Montpellier at the Allianz.

Currently in 11th place in Ligue 1, OGC Nice finds itself in a difficult situation at the start of the year. No victories in 2023 and, more importantly, a shameful elimination from the Coupe de France in Auvergne.

After his appointment as the coach of Nice, Didier Digard will lead his first match at the helm of the Azurean club against the Pailladins, who are 14th in the standings. According to several media outlets, the former captain of the Gym and his assistants (Gioria and Sablé) are expected to field a lineup similar to those presented by Favre.

With a victory, Nice could potentially rise to the same rank as OL, currently in eighth place. A defeat could drop Nice down to 14th place.

Probable lineups:

OGC Nice: Schmeichel – Lotomba, Todibo, Dante, Bard – Lemina, Thuram, Boudaoui – Diop, Pépé, Laborde

MHSC: Omlin – Sacko, Jullien, Estève, Maouassa – Ferri, Leroy – Nordin, Savanier, Mavididi – Wahi
