A week after their victory against Vienne, the red and black team aimed for a second win this season. Tarbes found itself in the same situation as Stade Niçois after two games. The Pyreneans lost on Massy’s field (20-13) before defeating Blagnac (23-20) last week.

For this match, Alexandre Compan made four changes in his starting XV compared to the team that defeated Vienne last weekend. Sunio Vola started in the front row, Adrien Vigne returned in the second row. Rahima Smiler, who scored a try in the previous match, started in the third row.
