The 2024 edition of the No Finish Line in Nice was able to push past the limits already overcome last year and raised a sum of 101,892 euros in support of associations aiding sick or underprivileged children.
This charity race, taking place on the Promenade des Anglais, surpassed last year’s performance. This time, 101,892 km were covered, equating to 98 hours of non-stop racing. A total of 101,892 euros were raised in support of sick or underprivileged children on the Côte d’Azur.
Thanks to the 5,837 participants in the race, the funds will be used to finance a weekend at OK Corral for about twenty young disabled individuals organized by the association Chemin des Rêves. The money will also be used to purchase medical equipment such as an autonomous all-terrain electric wheelchair for Céline and GSF, or a knee prosthesis designed for performing gliding sports, for amputee children for ANICES. Lastly, it will also fund a mobile webradio created by children to fight against bullying and cyber-violence for the association La Semeuse.
Until the Very End!
We have several heroes who demonstrated remarkable endurance and selflessness. Among the women, we can mention Mimi Chevillon with her 351 km, Siriporn Roongjira who covered 304 km, and finally Mireille Cormier with her 260 km. These three make up the podium in the female category.
The men, on the other hand, did not lag behind. The podium consists of Cédric Chaudet, who ran 463 km, followed by Thomas Zangrilli with his 439 km, and finally Frédéric Ascone, who finished with 391 km.
However, it’s thanks to the registered teams that the event managed to collect so much. They are the ones who covered the most kilometers. In first place is the Vicking team, who ran 13,571 km. Second place went to the Association pour un sourire de Céline with 9,799 km. And finally, in third place on this podium, we have HOMME 5, covering 7,733 km.
