Following the ban by the prefecture of Alpes-Maritimes, an appeal was filed by the organizers to assert their right to assemble.

The court has ruled. In response to the Prefect Hugues Moutonh’s decision, categorically refusing the peace demonstration planned for this Saturday, November 4th, in Nice, the administrative court has decided to suspend the ban and allow the protest. After last Saturday’s gathering, this is the second favorable appeal of this kind.

Hundreds of people expected on site

Organized by the “Collective 06 for a just and lasting peace between Palestinians and Israelis,” more than 360 protesters marched through the streets of downtown Nice in support of the Palestinian cause, overlooked by the mayor of Nice, some regret. These individuals will attempt to bring a touch of humanity to a conflict that leaves little room for general agreement, and evidently, the rain won’t deter them.
