Transfer Market: Will Khéphren Thuram still be in Nice next season?

Latest News

As every week, we offer you an update on the Aiglons’ transfer market and the various dossiers not to be missed.

Despite the desire to retain Khéphren Thuram for the upcoming season, OGC Nice is open to discussions if the offer is close to €50 million. Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and even Borussia Dortmund are interested. However, despite the interest from European giants, the French midfielder reassured his club at the end of last season: “For now, I am in Nice, things are going well, I really like the club, so I still see myself at Nice. I am very happy at Nice. There are rumors, I hear them, but I am content at Nice, and I hope to grow with this club.”

Thus, according to the newspaper L’Equipe, Khéphren Thuram wishes to extend for an additional year under the sunny skies of Nice, before potentially playing in the Euro 2024 and exploring new horizons.

Mattia Viti at Sassuolo

Loaned for a year to Sassuolo with a purchase option, the 21-year-old Italian central defender has never managed to establish himself in the Nice squad. Arriving last summer from Empoli (Italy) for around €13 million, Mattia Viti will try to make a name for himself in the Italian championship. Aaron Ramsey is also departing, after a short season under the Nice sunshine, as the Gym officially announced his departure this Saturday. The Welshman ultimately decided to return to Cardiff City (Wales), where it all began for him.

On the arrivals side, the name of Rayan Aït-Nouri has been prominently mentioned in recent days. Having been on the Gym’s radar since last winter, Nice is making a more concrete approach to secure the services of the Algerian left-back. However, be wary of the competition as clubs like OM are also in the mix. Meanwhile, a first offer has been made for Jean-Ricner Bellegrade according to Foot Mercato. As mentioned last week, the Strasbourg midfielder is of great interest to the Aiglons, who are being persistent.

That’s all for this week, see you soon for more transfer news on Nice Premium!
