The Nice 100% Sport concludes beautifully with an unmissable 3X3 Basketball event organized by the Alpes-Maritimes Basketball Committee and the French Basketball Federation.

An even more “street” version than its original sport, 3X3 basketball is played on a half-court, with both teams of three players scoring in the same basket. Successfully introduced at the Youth Olympic Games in 2010, it could become an Olympic discipline in the near future.
Tournaments, exhibitions, and children’s activities will take place over 5 days.
A menโs and womenโs 3X3 Cรดte dโAzur tournament will first select 2 teams to participate in the Open de France.
About a hundred players are expected for this Open de France, the true finale of a year of 3X3 basketball. The qualified teams are designated by the French Basketball Federation based on the results achieved in the various 3X3 tournaments organized throughout the year. As the icing on the cake, the winning men’s and women’s teams at the Open will qualify for the European Masters in Madrid.
In preparation for the 3X3 World Championships, the French menโs and womenโs teams will also be on the court at the Jardins Albert 1er for two high-level exhibition matches. The French players will face the Czech Republic and a foreign selection. The program also includes a team from the island of La Rรฉunion composed of Pro A and Pro B players.
