The city of Nice has volunteered to make the Azurean capital the first city in France to adopt the “No-Smoking Beach” label, which is a variant of the national “No-Smoking Area” label created by the League Against Cancer.
This label aims to offer the general public, in partnership with local authorities, smoke-free spaces that are not subject to the smoking ban under the Xavier Bertrand decree, in which smoking will be prohibited by municipal decree.
Thanks to the signing of a partnership agreement with the League today, the city of Nice has once again initiated a strong action in the field of public health.
A COMMON OBJECTIVE
The League Against Cancer and the City of Nice have a common goal: the fight against cancer.
We are all faced with human misfortune and the terrible suffering caused by this poison that is tobacco (15,000 people killed every day worldwide and 60,000 per year in France). Tobacco is responsible for 90% of lung cancers.
