Christian Estrosi and Marco Doria met for the first time after the Genoa municipal elections last May to reaffirm the importance of an Alliance between the two Cities.

During the meeting, a letter was co-signed addressing the French President, François Hollande, and the Italian Prime Minister, Mario Monti, highlighting the importance of an efficient and rapid alliance, also along the coastal axis of the Latin Arc.

The two Mayors decided to create a joint operational working group to facilitate the achievement of shared strategic objectives.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation regarding sea highways, tourism, and culture were also addressed.
