The J.E.C.J. association brings together French municipalities, institutions, and associations with the aim of promoting the Jewish heritage, including real estate, movable property, and cultural heritage.

It is authorized to represent France and advocate for its specific interests within the European Association for the Preservation and Valorization of Jewish Heritage and Culture.

It has established a Scientific Committee and a College of Mayors of France, whose President is statutorily the Vice-President of J.E.C.J. France (This is Dominique Gros, Mayor of Metz, General Councillor of Moselle).

The flagship action is to coordinate the European Day of Jewish Culture to better understand the legacy of the past, promote a rich and motivating cultural heritage, and prioritize a living memory, made of republican gratitude.
