This Tuesday, September 13, marked the first literary meeting of the season with four authors invited for the occasion. Each of them had the opportunity to talk about their books, which were released quite recently.
Each month, the Raoul Mille library, located in the Gare du Sud, hosts a meeting with various authors presenting their latest releases. These are authors who talk to us about Nice through their works, all within the very pleasant atmosphere of a literary café. The discussion is moderated by journalist Emmanuelle Delteil. For this new edition, Agathe Celeyrette, Sonia Olivier, Lilas Spak, and Maurice Vinitzki were present.
Here are the four books presented:

This novel by Agathe Celeyrette highlights a woman who is going to commit a murder. A story that mainly discusses the suffering of this woman, who is diagnosed as sterile. Deeply affected by this news, she will overcome this ordeal as best as she can. We will follow her life, her pain, and also her recovery. A sincere work, tinged with great humanity.

Sonia Olivier delivers her touching story in this poignant book. The author provides a subtle look at her own past, her childhood, and all the sufferings that stem from it. She also talks about the evolution of French society, which she has closely followed throughout her life. From her childhood to the present day, this book traces the history of a woman with immense talent.

Lilas Spak is a vibrant woman with a lot of character. This is evident in her book, which does not hesitate to denounce certain flaws in our current society. Although these 25 chronicles might be seen as provocative, they primarily feature an irresistible humor that is more akin to teasing. In any case, this book does not leave one indifferent.

Maurice Vinitzki is a man who experienced the Second World War when he was just a young child. He recounts his journey with his family, who were saved by music. Being mostly musicians, their music was able to guide them through this troubled time. Maurice Vinitzki’s father was highly perceptive, which helped them more than once. This admiration for his father is palpable throughout this fascinating book. A work that shares a compelling vision of history.
This first meeting was enthralling with these talented authors. A very diverse discovery with these unique works. The next meeting is set for October 11 at 6 PM, again at the Raoul Mille library. This meeting will focus on crime novels in Nice. A guaranteed thrill in anticipation of All Saints’ festivities.
