If we disregard the principle that the cost of a life, whatever it may be, is immeasurable. One year after the Nice attack, nearly 25 million euros have already been paid to the victims of the attack and their families.
However, many are still waiting to be compensated by the State. There are still about 750 out of the 2,966 compensation claims received by the Guarantee Fund for Victims of Terrorism and Other Offenses (FGTI). But 20% have been rejected.
The estimated amount of compensation amounts to 300 million euros for the Nice attack alone.
