Over the course of three days, pétanque will be in the spotlight in the enchanting setting that the city of Nice has provided for Jean-Claude Muscat’s team. Despite numerous challenges, they have once again succeeded in organizing one of the most prestigious tournaments in the pétanque world. The grand event was able to kick off last Friday, with the azure blue sea and the sun making an appearance to the delight of the 1,536 pétanque players, ready to battle with dreams of qualifying for Monday’s finals.
Whether pointing or shooting, it’s above all a true pleasure to step onto the field for a moment filled with joy, sorrow, enjoyment… In short, a full range of emotions for this Europétanque 2008!
