Presentation of the Book Festival Program

Naturally, Nice has long inspired writers. Nice is mentioned, celebrated, and sublimated in the work of some of the greatest figures in literature. A legacy the City is determined to preserve. 2012 is also the year of Franco-Russian literary friendship. In Nice, this friendship has been ongoing since the 19th century, and the Russian presence has significantly marked the history of our city. In this regard, Russia and the City of Saint Petersburg are the guests of honor at the Festival.

Jean d’Ormesson of the French Academy is the honorary president of this edition, Franz-Olivier Giesbert, the artistic director, 200 authors will be featured… the program promises to be rich in meetings, activities for all audiences, debates, colloquiums, and tables…
