Nice Book Festival: the novels in the running for the 25th Nice Baie des Anges Prize

Eight novels have been selected by the members of the Nice Baie des Anges prize jury, who gathered at Villa Masséna for the annual meeting, that of the City of Nice’s literary prize dedicated to novels.

Sponsored and endowed by the City of Nice, this prize rewards a novel published in the twelve months preceding its Book Festival. The winner will be announced in mid-May 2020.

The jury is composed of Franz-Olivier Giesbert, President of the jury, Paule Constant, from the Goncourt Academy, Irène Frain, Aurélie de Gubernatis, Didier van Cauwelaert, Laurent Seksik, Nicolas Galup, and Jean-Luc Gagliolo (Municipal Councillor delegated to literature).

A popular jury of ten readers, book and word lovers, is also involved in the deliberations.

The selection: Nos rendez-vous, Eliette ABECASSIS (Grasset), Tu seras un homme, mon fils, Pierre ASSOULINE (Gallimard), Les oiseaux rares, Hugo PAVIOT (Seuil), Big Bang, Irène JACOB (Albin Michel), Le réveil des sorcières, Stéphanie JANICOT (Albin Michel), L’histoire de Sam ou l’avenir d’une émotion, Jean-Marc PARISIS (Flammarion), Papa, Régis JAUFFRET (Seuil), La soustraction des possibles, Joseph INCARDONA (Finitude).
