Nice-Cannes Marathon: A Great Celebration Despite the Bad Weather

Latest News

Despite the bad weather and the road with puddles of water that hindered the runners, the Nice-Cannes Marathon was successfully held, even though communication issues (announcement of the delayed start at 10 a.m., which actually happened at 8:30 a.m.) caused some absences (it is reported that about a thousand athletes were missing).

In the end, 6,291 classified runners participated.

As usual, African athletes dominated the event.

In the men’s category, it was A Gemeletu (Ethiopia) who arrived first at the Croisette in 2h10’17, followed by Robert Chemosin (Kenya) and his compatriot Habatmu Arga.

In the women’s competition, Alemito Lena (2h37’16) took the top position on the podium, accompanied by Adriana Gregoras di Giusto and Caroline Vandeshrick.
