The tension was palpable as the floats were assembled in a “kit” (arms, legs, torso, head, etc.) and for the traditional placement of the King’s and Queen’s heads… the operations lasted all day yesterday.
The traditional placement of the King’s head will actually be the assembly of the King’s and Queen’s floats “in kit” form.
Arms, legs, torso, head… everything will depend on the challenges encountered at each stage.
The “agitators” were also involved with the rehearsals. The 60 artists worked on the choreographies for the launch of the events. Final costume fittings, final adjustments like in a beehive… Dancers, acrobats, musicians… each will contribute their part to the edifice.
The Sound and Light tests took place on Massena Square late in the afternoon: the technical aspect is of utmost importance.
This Friday, the florists will spring into action for the flower arrangements, it will be a festival of colors and scents…
At nightfall, the Queen’s and King’s floats will leave the Carnaval House and head towards Massena Square… the departure will always be impressive!
Then tomorrow… let the party begin!!!
