In one year, France will host the eighth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in nine host cities spread across the country: Nice will host 6 matches, including 4 group stage matches, a round of sixteen, and the third-place play-off.
To celebrate the countdown day, which will launch the one-year countdown to the tournament, FIFA, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), and the city of Nice have envisioned an event with an original artistic dimension aimed at leaving a cultural and sustainable legacy to the area. Ametist and Morphem, renowned street artists, have created a unique mural paying tribute to the competition and the uniqueness of the city of Nice.
This creation, displayed in a strategic location frequented by the public, will be unveiled to the media and the public at 8:19 PM in front of the water mirror on the Promenade du Paillon.
