A spectacular interlude that is already shaping up to be one of the highlights of the carnival season.
The 2026 Nice Carnival once again set the city abuzz from February 11 to March 1, celebrating this year the theme “Long Live the Queen!”, a symbol of creativity, freedom, and feminine power. Among the highlights of this grand festive event, the Grand Veglione Ball, held on Friday, February 13, established itself as one of the most elegant and spectacular events of the carnival.
A festive tradition revisited. For its fourth edition, the Nice Côte d’Azur Opera opened its doors to an exceptional evening, in partnership with Stockfish and the Nice Carnival. Transformed into a giant dance floor, the Opera Hall welcomed music lovers, costume enthusiasts, and curious onlookers for a night where carnival tradition and modernity met in an atmosphere both refined and festive.
A 100% Female Musical Program
“We are all queens!” exclaims DJ Samantha Flores, tasked with opening the ball. A mantra summarizing the spirit of the evening and the desire to celebrate women in all their diversity, audacity, and creativity. True to the theme “Long Live the Queen!”, the 2026 Veglione Ball honors an exclusively female artistic lineup. The evening begins with a repertoire of waltzes and ball classics, before shifting to a more contemporary ambiance driven by three DJ sets performed by Samantha Flores, Marina Trench, and Camille Doe. A bold choice by the organizers to highlight women’s presence on stage and at the turntables, with a musical and visual crescendo into the heart of the night.
Envisioned as a manifesto, the 2026 Veglione Ball stands as a feminine celebration entirely carried by music.
