For its 61st edition, the International Summer Academy, chaired by Marie-Josรจphe Jude, is introducing a new festival concept.

Join us until August 5th to experience the magic of the Concerts du Cloรฎtre, as well as discover “The Midi-Minuit of the Academy” at the Regional Conservatory or attend concerts at the Matisse Museum.

โ€œNice Classic Liveโ€ with its 11 concerts at the cloister will feature internationally renowned artists until August 5th, showcasing the best among them, including Renaud Capuรงon, Alexandre Tharaud, Emmanuel Ceysson, and the Trio Wanderer, forming the highlights of this unprecedented and revitalizing program.

The young talents from the TV show โ€œProdigesโ€ alongside soprano coloratura Elizabeth Vidal will be celebrated during a showcase evening. An evening titled “Destins de Femmes” combining theater and music, along with an evening titled “Generations Crossed,” will complement this eclectic program.

Finally, for the first time and in the spirit of cultural democratization, the International Summer Academy will present its “Midi-Minuit of the Academy” at the Conservatory. This exceptional event invites families on Sunday, July 29th, to attend a marathon of 8 thematic concerts, 4 student concert sessions, and the marathon performance of “Vexations” by Erik Satie, a piano piece.

Tonight’s opening concert will feature the music of Schubert: Trio in B-flat major, D.898 (op.99) and the “Trout” Quintet in A major, D.667 (op.posth.114) performed by the Trio Wanderer (Jean-Marc Phillips, violin, Raphaรซl Pidoux, cello, Vincent Coq, piano), Christophe Gauguรฉ, viola, and Axel Salles, double bass.

Following this, on Monday the 23rd, PRODIGES!; Tuesday, July 24th, the piano recital of Alexandre Tharaud; and Wednesday the 25th, the Philharmonic Orchestra concert with Philippe Bernold conducting and on flute.

On Wednesday the 26th, it will be Benjamin Levy and the Cannes PACA Orchestra’s turn, followed by Jean-Franรงois Heissier on piano on Friday the 27th.

The following week, Renaud Capuรงon on violin and G Bellom on piano will perform.

Then on August 1st, actress Marianne Denicourt will be featured in the theater and music show “Destin des Femmes.”

The last three concerts will take place on Friday, August 3rd, with the Chausson concert by the Quatuor Rosamonde; Saturday the 4th, Hortense Cartier-Bresson on piano; and finally, on Sunday the 5th, the Piano Night, a marathon of 7 pianists.
