The Nice Classic Live, a major event in Nice’s summer cultural life, offers exceptional concerts to the public for its second edition, continuing the legacy of the Cloister Festival, which it took over in 2018.
“This new season aims to meet this ambition to provide everyone with the most beautiful offerings of art”- this is the commitment of Marie-Josèphe Jude, pianist, and artistic director of the event.
The ambition of the Nice Classic Live festival, resolutely looking to the future, is to generate a greater love and sharing of the various facets of classical music and jazz, within an excellent heritage setting.
This new season — from July 15th to August 9th — is themed around lineage, the invisible link connecting Messiaen to Debussy, Brahms to Bach, Beethoven to Haydn, Vivaldi to Piazzolla, Chopin to Debussy, and Ravel to jazz…
On the program: concertos, chamber music, or recitals. Musical excursions into various directions, traversing the world of classical, baroque, or jazz, offered by internationally renowned artists, as well as young talents, all coming to captivate the audience: the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cannes PACA Orchestra, Marie-Pierre Langlamet, Hervé Sellin, Jean-Marc Phillips, Xavier Phillips, Jacques Rouvier & Kateryna Diadiura, Michel Béroff, Jean-François Heisser, Marie-Josèphe Jude, Patrick Messina, François Chaplin, Pierre Génisson, Jérôme Pernoo, and many others…
The first concert will take place tonight (at 9 pm) at the Cloister of the Cimiez Monastery: The Ideal Concert featuring music by Vivaldi and Astor Piazzolla.
In parallel with the festival, the Nice International Summer Academy (July 15th – August 11th) will showcase the students of the Nice Conservatory, with several concerts scheduled at the Kosma Auditorium from August 18th-11th.
Notably, on August 2nd at 5 pm, there will be a performance by the soloists from the vocal classes of Lorraine NUBAR & Dalton BALDWIN.
