Today, chronic viral hepatitis is no longer a death sentence.
Chronic viral hepatitis are transmissible diseases poorly understood by the general public, especially since the disease remains silent for a long time.
1 in 2 patients does not know they are carriers of chronic hepatitis B or C.
We can treat better and manage the treatment better.
In the case of hepatitis B, current well-tolerated treatments allow the majority of patients to achieve remission.
Nearly two out of three patients with chronic hepatitis C can be cured. Among patients infected with genotype 1, considered the most difficult to treat, combined with the traditional treatment of interferon and ribavirin, protease inhibitors enable a cure in approximately 75% of cases with 24 weeks of treatment compared to the current 48 weeks.
