Yesterday at Villa Massena, the City of Nice and Christian Estrosi welcomed students who received the “very good” distinction at an official ceremony, in the presence of Renaud Muselier, President of the South Region, and Richard Laganie, Rector of the Nice Academy.
On the esplanade of Villa Massรฉna, there were 275 awaiting the arrival of the mayor. 275 students who received the “very good” distinction in the 2019 baccalaureate. Students “who embody the future and excellence” of our region, the mayor emphasized. They “fought,” they “gave their best,” leading to a “well-deserved success,” stated Christian Estrosi. For him, they are simply “the best.”

A very lucrative distinction
As every year, obtaining the “very good” distinction can be quite rewarding. These good students can receive up to 600 euros in total. A 200-euro bonus is provided by the City of Nice (only for students who are educated and residing in Nice). Students from neighboring cities need not worry, as the South Region also offers a 400-euro bonus. To receive it, students had to queue up to submit the required documents (transcripts, bank account details, identification, etc.).
